Little Dreamcatcher

During the night little nightmares are creeping out of dark corners in a child’s room terrifying the sleeping kid while haunting in their dreams

Little Dreamcatcher is a third-person action game about a little guardian, defending the sleeping children from the hordes of evil nightmares.

 

My roles in this project:

Lead Developer:

  • Developing all functionality
  • Developed in the Unreal Engine 4
    • used to the biggest part Unreal’s Visual Scripting
    • supported this with some C++
  • Used programming concepts:
    • Object Oriented Programming
    • Inheritance, Polymorphism and Interfaces
    • Behaviour Trees
  • Developed and maintained different behaviors for the enemies
  • Trigonometry
  • Implementing assets into the engine

- My responsibilities:

  • Transforming the vision of the team into a playable game while maintaining this vision when stumbling on problems.
  • Building a very early prototype, to support the vision. Also enabling getting a better feeling for the possibilities and restrictions of the game.
  • Maintain the production schedule and ensuring everybody stays on track and in time.
