Time Freeze is a single player VR game in which the player assumes the role of a digital forensic analyst, to uncover the truth behind a terrorist attack against the state’s surveillance agency.
By traveling through time in a simulated replay of the attack, clues need to be found and examined.
My roles in this project:
Lead Developer:
- Developing all core functionality
- Used “Chronos” as tool to enable rewinding time
- Still, the whole game and its functionality had to be adapted to work reliable with the time mechanic
- e.g. Physics, Sounds and Animations had to be baked into a format useable by Chronos, without messing up the sequence of the scene
- Developed in the Unity 5
- Using C# for the script functionality
- Used programming concepts:
- Object Oriented Programming
- Inheritance, Polymorphism
- Trigonometry
- Implementing most of the assets
- My responsibilities:
- Developing Core features of the game in a short amount of time, to build a digital prototype to enable fast iterations on the game design.
- Creating flexible systems for the various features to make them easy maintainable and also easily accessible for the Co-Programmer, thus he can add new content to those systems
